Who we are

MG Academy is a tuition and mentoring service operated by Mohit Gupta. Mohit Gupta decides how personal data collected through accawithmohit.com is used and is the data controller for that information.

What we collect

When you book a free consultation we collect your name, email address, WhatsApp number and the ACCA paper you are interested in, plus anything you choose to write in the message field.

If you create an account, we also collect your current ACCA level, papers of interest, target exam sitting, preferred study option and how you heard about us. Supabase Auth handles your password; it is not placed in our enquiry tracker.

Our hosting provider may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. If you sign in, essential cookies keep your account session working. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use enquiry details to reply and discuss the classes or mentorship you asked about. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to prospective students and, where applicable, taking steps at your request before a contract.

We use account and coaching information to register you, provide coaching, schedule sessions and send materials. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract or performing a contract.

We keep records where necessary to meet legal obligations. We use your details for promotional contact only where we have a valid basis to do so. We do not sell your data or share it with others for their marketing.

Who processes it on our behalf

Website enquiries are stored in Supabase and copied to a private Google Sheet for follow-up. Neither copy contains your account password. We may also receive an email notification of your enquiry.

Vercel hosts the website; Supabase provides the database and account authentication; Google provides the private enquiry sheet. We may use an email delivery provider to send notifications. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp also processes that conversation under its own terms.

These providers may process information outside your country. If you want information about the location of your data or the safeguards applying to a particular transfer, contact us at the email above.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information while we respond and manage any follow-up, then review it for deletion when it is no longer needed for that purpose.

We keep account and coaching records while you study with us. Some records may be kept longer where needed for legal, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.

You can ask us to delete your information. We will consider your request and explain if we must keep part of it for a legal reason.

Your rights

Depending on the law that applies and the reason we use your information, you may have rights to access it, correct it, ask for deletion, restrict its use, object to its use or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it by emailing mohitgpta112@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened.

Email us to exercise a right. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, please tell us so we can put it right. If UK data protection law applies, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you directly.
